-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was late night on Christmas Eve in the Johto region.
All across the land, snow danced through the air as children played within the white-paved streets, holding candy-canes and organising snowball fights throughout the area, all whilst their parents stayed indoors: wrapping presents up for loved ones, putting up decorations, and preparing for the big, following day. The day on which families all across the world would gather to celebrate a time of peace, love and understanding.
Christmas. A holiday that was truly cherished by everyone. Humans and Pokémon alike.
Just outside Goldenrod city, deep within the snow-spangled trees of the surrounding, vast forest was a large cave, formed within the side of a rocky outcrop. A cosy cave in fact. A cave which seemed to stand out of the whiteness of the forest, as  from within it was a bright, yellow glow. And what was inside would have truly been a surprise to any weary traveller or Pokémon that wandered inside...

"Awwww, look this this!" Lilac giggled as she ever so carefully lifted a card from the envelope in which it was sealed in. On the front of the card was a picture of a traditional, almost enchanted village which was composed of traditional hatched cottages, all within a snowy valley, "It looks so Christmassy!"
"Who's it from, Lilac?" I smiled up at her, climbing on top of her foot and waiting to hear her read the card's contents out to me. She seemed to go a little blank. She twitched a little before bringing the card rather close to her eyes, squinting, and slowly reading the writing within the card.

"W-well, it says, 'Dear, Lilac and Dyon... w... wi-i... wi-wish... wishing yo... you... a very merry... merry Christmas and a... h-hap... happy noo- I mean, new year! L-lots... of love... Yoo I mean, Yousie and Sofie!" She beamed, almost seeming proud of what she had said out loud, before holding the card down to me to check it over.

I gently took the card from her wing and quickly read it, before smiling up at her.
"Lilac, your reading skills are really improving. That was spot o- MMMMMPPPPHHH!" I cried, feeling something wet and warm literally push my head side ways, "L-Lilac!" I blushed, mopping the Lugia's saliva off of my face as I looked up at her.
"Hee-hee, sorry, Dyon! You just taste tooooo sweet!" I sighed, but smiled at her.
"Lilac, you are sweet!" I giggled, jumping into her belly, only for it's soft, smooth, bouncy surface to repel me and fling me into the soft embrace of her wings. Lilac laughed, bent down to my level and kissed my head. I giggled like a little girl, gently pawing at her nose and tongue, trying to stop my Lugia friend on her mission to soak me to the skin, "Stawp!" After half a minute, Lilac lifted her head and once again, kissed the crown of my head and smiled at me, fluttering her eyelashes at me.
"Hehe, you look like a cherry." She pointed out my furiously blushing cheeks, which made me giggle again. I ran up to her head and planted a kiss on her cheek, causing her to blush the same amount as me. We looked into each other's eyes for a long time, before Lilac grinned and suddenly flipped me high up into the air. I screamed as I began to fall back down to the ground, but instead of hard, cold rock and gravel, I was met by a very squidgy, smooth, warm surface. I was surrounded by bouncy pink stuff, and I realised that it could only be Lilac's belly. I smirked, burrowing my way through the sea of pudge, which I found rather hard to do, as her constant purring was causing her belly to vibrate and wobble like an oversized jelly. I kept burrowing, until I was finally face to face with her.

"So, did you make sure to put the tree away from the fire?" She nodded, pointing a wing over to the small, uprooted pine tree in the corner. It wasn't the best Christmas tree in the world, but for something 100% natural, it looked beautiful: with dried-berry-baubles hanging from the branches and a sunstone on top of the tree to represent a star. I could tell she had tried her absolute best, and that made me happy. "Good girl." I hugged her wing, and she gently rubbed my back with her 'thumb'. She smiled, before lowering her head to me.
"I've got something special for you..." She brought out a small box, which was wrapped in large, green leaves. My heart fluttered in my chest.
"Well that's funny, Lilac..." I smiled, hopping off of her belly and opening my rucksack, bringing a rectangle-shaped box out of it, which was wrapped in green wrapping paper. She cooed softly, and ever so slowly, we swapped our boxes, blushing and smiling at each other. Lilac sighed softly, "Dyon... w-when will we get to open our colourful boxes...?" She looked embarrassed just asking the question. Poor girl. I had not long ago introduced her to the idea of celebrating Christmas, and she didn't understand all of it quite yet. I gave her a reassuringly smile and rubbed her foot, causing her to purr ever so softly.
"We get to open our presents on Christmas day, Lilac, which is tomorrow." She cocked her head cutely, before nodding and gently thumping her tail against the ground next to me, "Which is exactly in..." I looked at my watch and my eyes widened.

It read '00:33'.

I sighed, "... right now..." Lilac eyes went very large, and seemed to nearly burst with excitement.
"IT'S CHRISTMAS!" She squealed, slapping her wings together like a happy little kid. I giggled.
"Technically, yes, it is Christmas."
"D-does that... does that mean we can open our colourful- I mean, presents now...?" I actually thought this question over. I looked to the leaf-wrapped box within my grip. I... was kind of curious to know what was inside it... and after all, it was the twenty fifth of December.

Christmas time. With Lilac.

I smiled, hugging her foot, "Well... i-it wouldn't hurt to... it's Christmas!" Lilac scooped me up in her wings and placed me onto her belly. "You first, sweetie..."
"No, you first, Dyon! I insist!" She looked at me with large, sparkly eyes. Whatever was in that box, she seemed very eager for me to discover what it was. I nodded, rubbing her belly, and I slowly began to remove the leaves from around the box. I then opened the box which the leaves were covering, and I cocked my head.

All I saw inside was a slab of earth, with a small indent in the middle with three smaller indents near the top. The entire thing was just a little bigger than my hand. I gulped, looking up to Lilac.
"Lilac...? W-what is this...?" She merely chuckled and gave me a playful lick.

"That there, Dyon, is one of my first ever footprints."

I nearly dropped the case.
"AWWWWW!" I squealed, hugging her belly with one hand, "T-this is so awesome! H-how thoughtful of y-you! I love it!"

And I truly did. It was one of her first ever footprints, and it was mine to keep! What an honour!

I rubbed her belly for around a minute, causing her to purr very loudly and happily.
"I'm glad you like it!" She blushed, her cheeks looking as pink as the fur which covered her belly.

Then, she began to unravel my present. I held my breath, hoping to Arceus that she would like it.

Like her present, it was stored within a box, a rather large one at that, and I waited with baited breath as I saw Lilac pull the lid off and peer into the box.

She gasped, causing me to tense up a little, and I smiled shyly as she lifted out a thin, glimmering silver chain. A tear ran down her cheek as she looked at the little heart-shaped name tag on the giant piece of jewellery.

'Lilac - The Colour of Beauty', it read.

At this point, Lilac had put the little chain around her neck and started crying a few tears of joy. She hugged me tightly and pressed me against her nose, "O-oh, Dyon... I l-love it... it's s-so beautiful..." I hugged myself against her nose, cooing softly.
"You can wear that whenever you want, wherever you want. It yours to keep..." She nodded, nosing at my cheek gently as I dabbed at her tears with the sleeve of my shirt. She began to smile again, and so did I. "Well... at least we both love each other's presents, eh?" I chuckled.
"Yep, but not as much as I love you...!"

*GRRROOOOOOOORRRRRRRL!*

Lilac's cheeks flushed to a deep red colour. "O-oh dear..." She sighed, "... I r-really should have got some dinner organised before you ca-..."
"T-that doesn't matter!" I nudged her wing playfully, "'Remember'...?" Lilac sat deep in thought for nearly an entire minute, before a devious smile spread across her lips, and she licked them with a drooly tongue, her eyes fixated onto me. She gently picked me up and stood on her hind legs, raising me high up into the air and wagging her tail.

"I remember, Dyon, don't you worry!" She lowered me to her face, before opening her maw wide in front of me.

I blushed fiercely, knowing that once again, I was going to end up being stuffed into her slobbery, humid maw, and then swallowed down her long, craning gullet and straight into her belly.

But I was cool with it. She only did it for fun... and when she was hungry. It was actually an enjoyable experience, that was if you were fine with getting very wet and could tolerate the scent of half-digested berries.

I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could, I myself was placed into a larger open mouth.

Lilac closed her lips around my thighs, whilst playfully slurping at my upper-half, as if I was a lollipop, or judging by the time of the year, a candy cane. Me, her own personal candy cane. I giggled at the thought, and at the feeling of the Lugia lady's giant tongue slathering my body in a thick, goopy coating of her drool. Soft moaning could be heard from all around me, inside her maw as she sucked in my legs, completely bringing me into her mouth and sealing her lips, incasing me within her sultry mouth. She kept tasting me for about five more minutes, purring and moaning out of pure ecstasy as her tongue gently kneaded my body, with extra care, around her maw.

One second, the pink muscle was pressing me into the soggy inside of her left cheek, then her right cheek, followed by slipping me under her tongue into a pile of saliva, which thoroughly soaked me and warmed me thoroughly. Finally, she finished her tasting routine by gently rubbing me against the roof of her mouth. I smiled and greeted her palate with a firm hug and lots of rubbing, which caused her to purr even louder. The tongue wobbled underneath me, until finally, with a firm, but yet gentle press, Lilac titled her head back and swallowed, the back of her enormous tongue pushing me into her throat. From that moment on, I began the minute-long trip down my best friend's gullet. The pillowy walls pushed against me from all sides as I descended to my stop, coating me in even more of her saliva, which had been swallowed down with me.

I had a big smile on my face as I finally plopped down into her big, pulsing stomach. It felt like it had become my happy place. It seemed so strange to be inside, yet it was so inviting. Soft, squishy, warm, even better than my bed at home. I had grown to love it.

And Lilac was completely happy with the fact that I had done so.

"Thanks, Dyon!" Lilac giggled, before letting out a loud burp, which caused the walls surrounding me to shake and shudder.
"E-ehehe... you're welcome, Lilac!" I stroked a fold of flesh within her stomach and cuddled it, yawning. Lilac purred softly, nuzzling the bulge which I formed on the surface of her blubbery, pink belly.
"Rest, my festive little snack." She smiled and licked her belly, "I'll take you home while you're asleep." I giggled softly and kissed the rippling walls of her gut.
"Fine by me, big girl." I snuggled against the fold within her stomach, her gentle heartbeat thumping all around me as I closed my eyes. "Merry Christmas, Lilac..." Lilac sighed happily, curling up and kissing her belly for the last time.
"Merry Christmas, Dyon..."

Both of us slowly slipped into a deep sleep within the warm embrace of Lilac's home. Snow kept falling as we slept, transforming the whole of Johto into a magical winter wonderland.

6:00am, Christmas Day

Exactly six hours after my human buddy fell asleep, I stood up and stretched my wings and tail, ridding myself of tiredness and yawning as I inhaled the crisp, winter air of the forest. I picked up Dyon's rucksack and waddled outside, and lowered my head towards my wings, gently wrenching and hacking, until Dyon finally came up my throat and out of my mouth, sliding into my wings. I licked his body clean of my stomach juices, the sourness making me gag a little. I then dried him off with my wings and held his sleeping little form close to my belly. I smiled.

He looked so peaceful when he was asleep.

Rubbing Dyon's head with my fingers, I began to slowly waddle through the dark forest, which had now been covered in snow. I had left a track of large footprints in my wake, which would be very useful in helping to find my way back. After ten minutes of rubbing and waddling, I finally came across a backyard, to a house which had no lights on, other than some beautiful Christmas lights hanging on the roof. I crept over to Dyon's bedroom window and opened it with a single wing, which made a little creaking noise. I cringed, but the house remained peaceful. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. I used both of my wings to place Dyon into his bed next to the window. I tucked him in, looking down at him as I placed his rucksack next to him. I gave a small smile, before kissing his cute little cheek and nuzzling his chest.

"Merry Christmas, Dyon..." I whispered ever so quietly, before pulling back out of the window and gently shutting it with a shaky wing. Why was I shivering? Was it because it was cold? No. I was adapted to live in cold weather... so what was the cause of it? Then I realised...

... I didn't want to leave Dyon.

Immediately, my eyes filled up with tears. "D-don't cry, Lilac..." I whispered to myself as I began to walk away from Dyon's house, "... p-please don't... WAAAAAAAAAAH!" The imaginary floodgates holding back my tears suddenly collapsed as I burst into tears. I didn't want to spend this 'Christmas' day alone. I wanted to be with a friend. My only friend!

But I couldn't... I didn't have it in me to show myself to Dyon's family. What if their reactions would be disastrous? What if I got Dyon into trouble?

But what if they accepted me? I hadn't done anything bad to Dyon, right?

Before I could come to a conclusion, something very strange happened. Two Lugia's, who looked exactly like me, appeared on both of my shoulders. One was shining a little, and had a yellow, shiny disc thingy on it's head, whilst the other looked evil. It had red, fiery eyes, red horns upon it's head and was holding a red trident within it's wing.

"Don't give up, Lilac." The angelic Lugia spoke to me in a soft, calming tone "Things will get better for you. Go. Celebrate Christmas with the one who you hold dearest to you."
"BULLSHIT!" Jeered the devilish Lugia, leering at the angelic one, who didn't look even slightly intimidated, "They'll cast you out like a stray Poochyena! Look into the past, and see how others have treated you! Screw Dyon! He hates you!" I gasped softly.
"That's not true!" I cried, tears running down my cheeks, "D-Dyon loves me for who I-I am!"
"You're so naive, Lilac." The evil Lugia screeched, "He'd sell you out for another Pokémon anyda- AHHHHHH!" I cocked my head as he burst into flames, before looking towards the angelic Lugia. She was holding some sort of celestial bow.
"Go, Lilac." She stroked my cheek, "Dyon loves you. I know that for sure. Don't let your demons drag you down. Hurry, before he comes back and changes your mind!" And with that, she disappeared, and everything went back to like nothing happened.

Was it all a figment of my imagination?

I blinked and looked back towards Dyon's house. The sun was rising. I had to hurry before it was too late! I bounded towards the home of my best and only friend, tears clouding my eyes.

"N-no more hiding... t-time to show yourself to the world..."

7:00am, Christmas Day

My eyes shot open at the sound of my alarm. Christmas! I giggled with excitement, secretly thanking Lilac for taking me home whilst I was asleep. I stopped dead in my tracks.

Lilac... I hoped she ok out there...

It took me a while to take my mind off of her. I thought she was fine, fast asleep in her cave. I smiled, taking off my clothes from the previous night and putting on my pyjamas. I walked downstairs into the lounge, to find the Christmas, the bottom of it full to the brim with presents: a pile for me, my mom and my dad.

Speaking of my parents, they were also in the lounge, sitting on the sofa and smiling at me. I chuckled merrily and leaned down to hug both of them. "Merry Christmas, Dyon!" My father exclaimed, patting me on the back, "Well... do you like it?" He gestured to the Christmas tree and the presents, which surrounded it like a festive moat.
"D-dad, I love it! Thank you so much, both of you!" My mother giggled.
"I bet you can't wait to tear into your presents, huh?" She smiled as she saw me edge slowly over to my pile of presents, "Not so fast, young man! First, let me get the camera!" She walked off into the kitchen. My dad chuckled.
"Your mother... she's so insistent on capturing every moment on fi-..."

We both stopped smiling when we heard a scream from the kitchen.

"H-honey?!" My dad called out as he quickly went into the kitchen, "W-what's wrong? Has the turkey burne-... oh my..." I ran into the kitchen as fast as I could, and my jaw dropped. My parents were both looking out of the window, into the middle of the snow-covered lawn. My father was shaking his head in disbelief and my mother was covering her mouth with her hands.

She stood in the middle of the lawn, looking terrified. She was covered in a little bit of snow, which was still falling, and was nervously chewing on the tip of her right wing. Tears were running down her cheeks, and her tail was between her legs. She was even wearing the chain I gave her around her neck, and she had placed berries and winter flowers around the garden in an attempt to lighten the mood and sooth the shredded nerves of my parents.

In the middle of my lawn stood Lilac. She looked beautiful. More beautiful than she had ever looked before. She looked like she had just seen a Gastly, but oh my Arceus, she was stunning.

I bolted for the back door, my eyes welling up with tears.

"DYON, NO! D-DON'T GO OUTSIDE!" My mother shrieked when she saw me make a run for it, but it was too late. By the time she had went to grab me, I was running across the lawn. Running faster than I had ever ran before. After what seemed like a minute. I had stopped in front of her, holding my hands onto my head.
"L-Lilac..." I stammered, nearly absolutely speechless, "... y-you came... y-you actually c-came... b-but w-why...?" A tear fell from Lilac's snout, hitting the ground before my feet and melting the snow upon it's frosted surface.
"I... I c-couldn't... c-couldn't l-leave y-you..." She sobbed, more tears coming out. She was finding it very hard to speak, "... I d-didn't w... w-want to b-be alone..."

I looked back at my parents, who were ever slowly approaching us, getting to grips with what they were seeing.
"D-Dyon..." My dad stuttered, shivering from head to toe, as so was my mother, "... w-what is that t-thing...?" My eyes narrowed and I hugged Lilac's foot as more tears fell.
"She is NOT a t-thing, dad..." I choked, finding it hard to see through the tears that were clogging up my vision, "... she's... s-she's... s-she's an a-angel..." My dad stopped dead in his tracks, looking very bewildered. I could feel more of Lilac's tears hitting the ground next to me. My mother wiped her eyes, gently approaching Lilac and placing a hand on her tear-soaked snout as she lowered her head.
"S-she's... b-beautiful, Dyon..." My mother whispered. My father blinked, eventually doing the same, placing his quaking hand next to my mother's. Lilac watched them, her lips quivering, but she slowly began to stop shaking. I watched my parents, gently feeling Lilac's snout. I sniffled, wiping a tear away as I slowly placed my hand onto her snout to, stroking her snout.

"M-mom... d-d-dad... I'd l-like you to m-meet Lilac... s-she's been my b-best friend f-for ten months n-now..." My father gasped softly.
"Y-you mean... she's your friend?!" I nodded.
"S-she is... and I can tell you that s-she is the most wonderful, k-kind, loving Pokémon y-you'll ever get the pleasure to meet..." Lilac inhaled deeply, and all three of us removed our hands from Lilac's nose.
"I w-wanted to see Dyon..." She sighed, staring into my eyes whilst speaking. I stared back.

My dad slowly began to stop shaking, and then the most bizarre thing happened.

He smiled, and so did my mother. They held each other tightly.

"D-Dyon... I-I'm so proud of you..." My mother whispered, "... she's a Ch-Christmas miracle..." My father slowly nodded in agreement. He let go of my mother, walking back up to Lilac and standing in front of her head.

"L-Lilac... I want t-to thank you for keeping my s-son safe and happy... and y-you're very welcome to stay with us for Christmas..."

Lilac's eyes went very wide, slowly emptying themselves of tears and revealing the beautiful shade of blue that she hid underneath them. Then, she scooped me up into her wings, and cried. She had never cried so hard in all her life. She wasn't crying loudly though, because she was crying tears of joy. I was crying too, blushing as she held my close to her chest, all in full view of my parents, who were also looking rather emotional. We looked up, into each other's eyes. I leaned forwards, kissing Lilac's snout. She did the same, kissing the crown of my head.

"I-I'm so proud of you, Lilac..." I smiled widely, wiping the tears from her eyes and my own, "... y-you're so brave... you're the b-bravest person I know..." Lilac's pout turned into a small, shivering smile, and she licked my cheek, holding me just in front of her nose.
"T-thank you so much, Dyon..." She said, with a little bit of happiness in her voice, "... a-and your parents... t-they're so nice..." I chuckled slightly, nodding eagerly.
"T-they're lovely... they're so good to m-me, and I am sure t-that they'll be good to y-you too..."

Then, out of nowhere, Lilac pressed me against her soft lips, smooching my head, leaving me blushing redder than a rose and getting a soft "Awwwww" from my parents. I smiled tearfully down at my mother and father, who smiled back at me, holding each other close. I looked back towards Lilac, who had nearly stopped crying.
"Christmas is a t-time of love and understanding, Lilac... a time w-when friends and family gather to celebrate and enjoy each others' company... s-so please, spend Christmas with us, my little miracle..." I wiped a few more tears from my eyes as I looked up into Lilac's eyes through the snow, which sparkled in the morning sun. Lilac nodded eagerly, hugging me close to her chest, and I wrapped my arms around her.

"O-of course I will, Dyon..." She purred softly, her tail slowly beginning to wag, "... b-because you're my best and only friend... and I l-love you..." I nuzzled her fur, which had bits of snow stuck in it. She gently pulled me back in front of her soft eyes.
"I love you too... and s-so do my parents. T-they're your friends, and don't you ever forget that." She nodded her head, a huge smile now covering her face. I giggled, happy to see that she was now back to her normal self.

"Say, would you like to open a few presents with me?" I grinned. Lilac grinned straight back at me and playfully licked my cheek.
"It would be my pleasure, cutie."
"And you're w-welcome to stay for dinner." My mother chuckled, "Do you like Brussel sprouts?" Lilac cocked her head, before nodding eagerly.
"Y-yes I do!"
"In that case, you can have extra." I joked, and we all laughed heartily. Lilac gently placed me down onto the ground, and I gently held one of her fingers. "Well, would you like to come in? It's cold out here." Lilac beamed at me.
"I'd love to, Dyon... I'll just about manage to fit inside."

All four of us began to walk back towards the house, as the sound of bells ringing filled the air. Bells ringing out for Christmas. Children ran around in the streets, playing and showing each other what Father Christmas had brought them with absolute glee. I walked slowly back to the house, stroking Lilac's wing as she waddled alongside me. She left huge footprints in her wake, and mine were tiny compared to hers. It was quite a funny thing to see, actually.

Just before we entered the house, Lilac bent down and kissed my head again, "Merry Christmas, Dyon." I blushed, before kissing her on the tip of her nose in return, causing her to cheeks to flush to the exact same shade of pink mine were emitting.
"Merry Christmas, Lilac... I love you..." Lilac fluttered her eyelashes, placing her nose against my cheek and whispering into my ear.

"I love you too, Dyon... forever and ever, my little Christmas miracle..."
